Možnosti fyzioterapie u bolestí hlavy vertebrogenního původu

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervetion of headaches of vertebrogenic etiology. The therapy of all patients is based off of the same principle and a similar approach resp. manual treatment of overworked and shortened muscles, adjusting the breathing stereotype, correcting basic movement stereotypes, engaging of the deep stabilisation system through picked exercises and exercising autotherapy given to the patient. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on anatomical structures related to the issue, following is the clinical picture and differential diagnosis of headaches, prevalence and possibilities of physiotherapy. Practical part is comprised of the exercise unit, made using the methods from the theoretical part, and the actual research, processed in the qualitative form, containing the entry and final kinesiological examination alongside the course of therapy of three female patients of similar age. Based on the entry kinesiological examination each patient had their exercise unit tailored for them, which the patient was instructed to exercise three times a week. The research was planned for two months, with two out of three patients having the total of 8 sessions, the first patient was unable to attend two therapies due to COVID-19 infection. There is a summary and the achieved effect described at the end of each case study. Next i focus on discussion, in which i summarize the aspects of the theoretical part with the results of the practical part, i also include a few recent publications focused on headaches and way of treating them. The thesis is finished with a summary and a list of used sources.
Physiotherapy for vertebrogenic headaches

This bachelor thesis is following up a problematics of headaches originated from vertebrogenic etiology. It will describe functional anatomy in theoretical part of this thesis, primarily a spine and structures associated with it. Furthermore a pain, such as vertebrogenic pain and headaches. It will focus on etiology of vertebrogenic pain and its general symptoms which we can relate to cervikogenic headaches. The headaches will be itemized betweem primary and secundary and it will also partialy mention a migraine, tension headaches and other kinds of headaches. It will focus on history of terms, clinical picture, diagnostics, etiology of origin and therapy in chapter dedicated to cervikogenic pain. Possible physiotherapeutic treatment will be devided on manual therapy, movement therapy, physical therapy and more specific methods. There will be research questions and objectives at the beginning of practical part followed by research methodology of bachelor thesis. Next topic will be exercise along with instructions and substantiation of which exercises has been applied to a specific patient. Compilation of exercises and instructions has been done on base of experience gained throughout the study of physiotherapy. Given exercises are presentment of what can be used to improve the patient's condition. Three case reports will contain entry and exit examinations, description of therapy progress, effect of prescribed exercise and also comparison of patient's condition before and after the treatment. There will be discussion, conclusion and used sources at the end of this thesis. Subjectively said there has been an improvement in two out of three cases in both mental and physical condition of patient. The case with no improvement has been caused by non-related medical complication after injury that prevented further therapy, the patient had pain related to his injury during the exit examination
